About Us
A Greenville Tradition, One Scream at a Time
At the Haunted Halloween House, we don’t just decorate for Halloween — we build an experience.
Our display began in 2017, the first fall after we moved to Greenville, North Carolina from the Midwest. Raised on bonfires, changing leaves, and Halloween magic, we couldn’t resist bringing that spirit to our new neighborhood. What started as a few spooky yard scenes quickly grew into a full-blown Halloween tradition — complete with lights, fog, animatronics, and a grand finale that draws over 5,000 visitors each Halloween night.
From the very beginning, curious neighbors stopped by as we set up. What began as a fun way to meet the community turned into something much bigger: a shared seasonal tradition that brings people together, block by block, scare by scare.
Each October, the transformation begins with the arrival of Scary Mary Poppins — our haunting hostess who signals that Halloween season has officially begun. While our scenes change weekly, Scary Mary never leaves. She lurks in the background all month long, keeping watch as the display builds toward Halloween night.
Visitors can expect new surprises throughout the month. The display grows bigger and more elaborate each week — and by the final days of October, it’s fully alive with synchronized music, dense fog, dazzling lights, and jaw-dropping animatronics. We run the show nightly from 6:30 to 9:00 PM, and we welcome drive-bys, sidewalk strollers, and selfie stops — just please refrain from walking through the yard.
We also love working with the wider community. Over the years, we've partnered with local organizations like the Greenville Museum of Art to bring a bit of spooky magic to events across town. We’re always open to collaborations that spark creativity and Halloween spirit.
And for local businesses looking to get involved, we offer seasonal sponsorship opportunities that provide visibility and engagement with thousands of Halloween-loving visitors.
From our home to yours — thanks for making Haunted Halloween House part of your October. We’ll keep building, scaring, and celebrating as long as the fog machines hold out.
Don’t miss a fright.
